You think it's sensible for me to go down into that pit of cotton-top hell, and let themhippity-hop all over my vulnerable flesh?

Joy, I blame you for the dream I had last night. The little hoppers were everywhere. Cute, but everywhere! Anya and her bunnies.

When he's not making performance art out of other demons, that is.

Albrecht Durer caught my eye when I was younger. The detail and intensity of his work was extraordinary. I think I will add a few artist biographies to my reading list this summer. I always keep meaning to read up on Rembrandt as well; in fact, I know that I have a couple of dusty bios on him somewhere, but never managed to get very far. Too much sneezing ruins a book. Adam the artiste!

Check out the fan club.

Yet another reason to love Wikipedia: They have a complete list of songs from Buffy and Angel. Although I am still looking for a version of Anya's "I'll Be His Missus" from Selfless Wikipedia has a whole lot of resources and cross references for everything Joss. Willow digs it.

We were in Paris. You had a branding iron.

I found two exceptional pictures on Flickr! today that I needed to share with you. The first says an awful lot about the condition of our society. The second says a lot about where the Smurf culture is headed. Dru rocks today's quote.

The Art of the Ghetto Mocha

It has come to my attention that some of my readers are unaware about the fine intricacies of the Ghetto Mocha. I personally discovered this last winter when my budget did not allow for a Pumpkin Mocha every day. Ingredients: One packet of instant hot chocolate One mug of hot water Sprinkles from instant coffee. Make the hot chocolate as it states on the packet. When done, add in a few sprinkles of instant coffee from your favorite brand. Simple enough right? But remember, 'Ghetto Mocha' is my invention - just not the recipe.

But you do get this lovely watch and a year's supply of Turtle Wax.

Yeah, I'm a total freak. AND I AM NOT ON CRACK! Yes, crack is bad. But I am still not on it!!! So, that last post got me window drooling on Amazon for sushi apparel. And that was when I spotted them. Sushi socks! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting And then I started to wonder, if Amazon has sushi clothes, why not turtle clothes? I could not help but find these turtle golashes utterly adorable. That probably would have sounded more commanding if I wasn't wearing my yummy sushi pajamas.

How evil are you?
So, lately I have not had any sort of craving for pizza. Or Italian food. But sushi has me drooling by lunchtime. I am being deprived. Today's quote said by Buffy. And yes, she was wearing those pajamas.

My Summer 2006 Reading List

I am currently on Book Four The Shadow Rising of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. It's excellent. I love the pace of the books. Whenever I wrote I always felt like rushing through things. I would love to finish reading the current books in this series over the summer, but in case I don't or get too wrapped up in them, I wanted a list of other books to read. If you have any suggestions, then please put them in the comments section. A reading list is always a very good thing to have. Tori Amos: All These Years: The Authorized Illustrated Biography by Kalen Rogers Life of Pi by Yann Martel Dream of the Unified Field by Jorie Graham Ender's Game and series by Orson Scott Card Dostoevsky (Not sure what. I've already read Crime and Punishment, and I can't make up my mind if I want to reread that or something else.) Call Me Crazy: A Memoir by Anne Heche

Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

Please note: all DC info is OOG! If you take it IG, then you are a dirty metagamer. The comic below is representative to what happened this weekend in Kansas. >:) We had a great time, even if we did wake up at 4am to drive thru the OK. I do believe that I frightened a few people when my husband died, lucky for them a certain healer magically re-appeared and saved him. Although one of the best parts of the weekend was when I got to choose what kind of a pet to play as an NPC. The goblin children kept some very odd pets, although they were quite well-trained. I ended up choosing a guinea pig with butterfly wings and a rooster tail. I sat, I rolled over, I played fetch, and could still beat the crap out of people. One tribie wanted to take me home. :D I felt special. Today's quote (and Glenn's favorite) was said by Angel.

But you don't seem bookwormy.

Why is it that people don't compare others to a character in a book, but compare them to a character on a tv show? I know that America has started the reading frenzy, but has it been affecting our lives? We read, but we don't talk about it. If we don't talk about it, if we don't incorporate it into other parts of our lives, then are we really doing it? Or have we turned into closet readers? Today's quote by Owen in Never Kill a Boy on the First Date.

Annual Talentless Show

Since I need to lighten up today's mood, I thought about stealing this meme. I am very talented. Among my many talents are the following, in no particular order. Oh, and I mean it sincerely, too. I'm really really good at this stuff. (Immitation is the highest form of praise besides walking in her shoes.)
  1. I will listen to you. At one point I was going to be a psychologist.
  2. I'm not afraid to get up on stage and dance and sing and make a fool of myself.
  3. Snoring. It's an artform.
  4. If there is a dog or cat or some other animal in the room, understand that I must say hello to them first. As well as have a full conversation with them. Sometimes while I talk to you.
  5. Can spend hours in a book store without buying anything. Took me forever to accomplish that one
  6. I sing in the car when I'm alone and I am fabulous!
  7. I was an audience member in the Bozo Show.
  8. Sticking my tongue up my nose is not just a stupid human trick, but it's also a good way to deflect an attack from the Nice One.
  9. If I take a picture of you, then you will look fabulous.
  10. I follow through on my addictions. I can't help it. I'm a Pisces.
  11. I am the only person I know who can smash her arm into the doorknob of an open door and receive physical therapy for a month because of it.
  12. Massage anyone?
  13. Yes, I am that innocent.

Today's Title by Buffy.

Frosty nectar. Now please.

Tonight I am considering an attempt at drunken laundry. If the need arises, possibly drunken packet making. Last night I saw X-men 3: The Last Stand. No, I did not stay until the end to watch the preview for the next movie. I didn't have popcorn either. But, there was sushi. My gods was there sushi! And fried squid. I kinda learned how to use my chopsticks too without having a rubberband. I'd also like to introduce a new member of the Manticore Family. Pictures will be updated to the site as soon as I figure out how to do that. Also, for anyone that has before, please don't text message me. If you do, then include $0.10 each time. K? Thanx. And now for last night's dream: I graduated from law school. Now that I held four degrees, I still didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. It turns out that I owned a little apartment/shop. But Glenn and I decided to move to a cool place. It was called something like "Clayman's Field" and it was in Georgia by Florida. And there was a highway that ran next to the ocean, which was a chrystal blue color. (Told ya it was a dream.) Then we ended up visiting relatives (no idea how we were related, let's just say all were aunt's and uncles or some variety) and I ended w/ a younger cousin at an uncle's house. We were by the woods. I asked him if he had seen big foot. He told me he did, and that he was on an endless search for him. Just then, who do you think walked by the window? My cousin was scared so I held him. We were afraid that big foot would come in there. I told my cousin that if he did to start running towards our aunts and hide. That's when I got a dog. I went to a shelter that this lady I knew ran. She showed me this one dog. She was pretty. Brown and white. And small. But very happy and nice. THE! PERFECT! DOG! No other way to describe her. I wasn't really looking for a dog, but I took her home. She was very happy. I had her out in the yard on a leash. She checked everything out. Then promptly turned into a very pretty white and brown cat. I keep thinking about this part of the dream and get very happy. Perfect timing to uplift my mood too. Today's Buffy quote said by Buffy in Dead Things.
