So what if there are a few weeds?! I MOWED THE LAWN!!!

One month ago my husband took four days off to work outside (mowing the grass, edging, cleaning up, etc.). One month ago it rained for four days straight. The grass went unmowed. For one month my husband and I had mono: total exhaustion, back pains, headaches, etc. So, for one month the grass went unmowed...until last night. When I, Utility Princess, mowed it! Even when I felt those three threatening, heavy drops of rain fall; even when those two Jehovah's witnesses walked up the road, looking at me with raised eyebrows; even when I was listening to Prince and shakin' it for all I was worth: I mowed. And then I got pissed, lost focus and mowed over the power cord. Luckily I live with someone who knows how to rewire these things without causing a fire, and did so...with a smirk. I mowed. And then I went to Wal-mart to get pretties for my bellydancing outfit.

Under Our Pillow

Today Sophie took a trip to the doctor to have her fang removed. The bottom half went missing...somehow...and the top half was showing sings of infection. Howl wondered where she was all day. But now she is home, and shoving Howl away from his food and blocking her dish with her belly. All is right with the world. Now, Glenn and I can go about celebrating our three year anniversary ;)

Makes It Suck Less

While enduring mono, I have come to realize that it is temporarily cured while reading Dooce. Like, even when the pixies are stabbing my eye with a needle, even when i feel like i am going to pass out, or puke, i still love dooce.
And I just thought that I would throw in that I *really* wished I brought a cane with me to work this morning b/c of the severity of the wobble in my walk.
I hope she uses that Princess Leia picture of Chuck for the month of October in the next Chuck Calendar.
I think I'm delirious. Too tired to check spelling. Hence, delirious.

Let Me Sum Up

Today I feel like an old lady. All of my joints have locked up. Seriously, yo! My knees are locked up, my shoulders are locked up, my wrists, my elbows! The odd part is the itch between my fingers. And...I can't sit still!!! I want to get up and run around. Jump! Run! Fart! Splash! In other words, I think I'm FINALLY getting better. I just can't over do it. Can't stay up all night cleaning or working. Can't run fifty million errands this weekend for fear that I will relapse. So, maybe just two? Mama needs some new tops! See?



I have a costume to make! I have gifts to start working on - Christmas is only SIX MONTHS AWAY PEOPLE! HELP ME MARTHA! Oye...
Now A Little Kansas City Sum Up:

• MAC cosmetics store – I typically only occasionally think about make up. But OMG! Did you know that make-up can be FUN?!
• Photo shoot – I think it was at this point that I started laughing and didn’t stop until I was drifting off to sleep Sunday night. My tummy was tight all weekend from it.
• The Kenyan and the Robot – yeah….I think that’s how I’ll remember us starting our own little dance club in back of a bar.
• That SNL Greek Restaurant skit? Totally true.
• Shocking a belly dancer as she hears lone zaggureats in the crowd of stiffs.
• Believing that if I plugged two wires into Lena that she could power my car for the drive home.
• LAMB! FLAMING CHEESE! OPA!
• Getting crazy with the purple haired gang from Wisconsin.
• Betsy! Johnson! Store!
• “I’m really disappointed in Kansas City math.” Said after we were told to drive down the street we were driving and we would find, like, 80 bars. We turned around twice and finally found the block long side street with five bars, a coffee shop, and a Jerusalem Café.
• Racks. Lots and lots of racks.
